The Minister of Communications General (Ret) Siphiwe Nyanda has noted with concern developments surrounding the appointing of the Head of News and Current Affairs of the Public Broadcaster.
The Minister has been briefed about the issue and assures the public that it is receiving his attention. He is engaging all parties involved including the board and management on all outstanding matters.
He will meet with the board soon.
Minister Nyanda appeals to everyone to exercise calm and restraint and in particular urges board members to refrain from making statements while this issue is being dealt with.
