IMPACT

EMPOWERMENT

This programme will enable participants to enhance their creative and business skills with the express purpose of enhancing organisational productivity and financial sustainability.

LONGEVITY

The film and television industries are acknowledged by governments to have an economic impact across several sectors including tourism, transport, hospitality, education, health and cultural development.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Any increase in sub-sector turnover is almost entirely dependent on business turnover. The appetite for content to be developed in Africa will increase as the pool of talent and capacity to execute gets bigger. This, in turn, minimises the risk to financiers and funders.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The main social spin-offs are cultural development and job creation. Film fosters dialogue around freedom of expression, identity, sexuality, and the intersection between modern life and tradition. Creating space and instruments for countries to collaborate to create a symbiotic relationship.

CORE OUTCOMES
1.
Provide professional training and leadership skills so tenacious producers can identify unique directorial talent, and scale the African film industry.
2.
Encourage the creative rigour and skillset in producers to develop and create singular work that not only delights and entertains, but may also have the power to push creative boundaries, spark new levels of empathy and understanding, and even lead to social change.
3.
Build the resolve and capacity of producers to effect change in policy and infrastructure in their respective home countries.
4.
Create life-long professional co-production relationships across 3 continents that facilitate African film production, as well as foster a supportive community of creative producers in Africa.

Ben's Big Break

Hello friends

In 2019 I entered the prestigious FINAL DRAFT BIG BREAK SCREENWRITING CONTEST, an international competition with 8000 entrants, and won my category with my feature script, CANAAN. Amongst other prizes I've been invited to LA to attend the awards ceremony and have meetings with Hollywood execs and talent agents on the 21st January 2020. I'm now raising funds to get to LA. I need to raise $2000 for my airfare so I've started a funding campaign. Please consider supporting GoGetFunding drive. Perhaps you know of a person or a company that would be willing to sponsor me. This South African Writer needs to get to Hollywood! Yikes! Thank goodness my visa is sorted. Here is the link. I would appreciate any help you can give:
