Following the recent closing date
for arts project funding applications, the National Arts Council (NAC) will be
announcing the outcomes of applications for four of its five programmes
on 30 June 2020.
These programmes are: Capacity
Building; Innovation, Design and Creation; Strategic Initiatives; and Social
Cohesion and Nation Building.
This follows the deadline for
applications being extended from 30 April to 19 June 2020. Considering
the urgency of the situation and bearing in mind the devastating effects of the
Covid-19 restrictions and protocols, the NAC started adjudicating applications
as soon as they were received to expedite the process.
Successful applicants from the
four abovementioned programmes will be announced on Tuesday 30 June
2020 at mid-day on the NAC website.
The results of applications for
the Arts platforms/exhibitions/festivals programme will be announced on 06
July 2020. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and would like to
assure applicants that we are working as speedily as possible to finalise
this one outstanding programme.
Please follow us on our social
media platforms and website (www.nac.org.za)
for updates.
We wish you all the best in
implementing and executing your valuable projects in these trying times.
Kind regards
Rosemary Mangope
