As the nations of the world elect leaders with wanton regard for the planet and
all its’ resources, as all the unheeded warnings about species extinction and
climate change come home to roost, we say don’t bury your head in the
sand, don’t give up - it’s time to share your story of hope!
Is your story an engaging, innovative or inspirational natural
history, environmental or conservation story? Does it inspire a call to action?
We're looking for nature,
environment and wildlife conservation stories that aim to inspire positive
change, ignite action and impact how we see our planet! We're looking for the
next generation of nature, environment and wildlife filmmakers!
Since 2017 thirteen (13)
short films have been produced by young filmmakers through the N.E.W
Pitch. These films have been entered in
numerous global film festivals, broadcast on national television and have gone
on to win local and international awards.
How to Enter:
- Submit your short documentary
film concept.
- Ten filmmakers will be selected to pitch Live in the N.E.W Pitch
Competition during the NEWF Congress 2020.
- Five winners will receive R 50 000 each to produce their documentary
short.
- Winners will have access to mentorship during development &
production.
