Often times when we submit proposals and get rejected without any explanation we get angry and are left frustrated. There are many reasons why proposals get rejected. One of these reasons is that we submit concepts that don’t give a sense of what the story will be.

This is a refresher for those who have done Screenwriting Courses and it is a good tool to use for those who are still learning. There have been many versions and ways to approach story structure.
 


About Ayanda Halimana

Ayanda Halimana is a South African Storyteller who has written, Head Written, Script and Story Edited a number of award-nominated TV Dramas and Films. She is a Workshop Facilitator, Screen Writing Mentor, and actively Writes and is also a Creative Producer. Her most recent work has achieved the highest number of ratings to date in SA for Series broadcast on SABC 1; both during the show’s premiere season and on the re-run in May/June 2020.
