WGSA ADDENDUM to the MINUTES of the AGM held on 22 April 2021

In line with paragraph 9 of the above minutes, the following decision was taken around the election of the 2021/2022 WGSA Council: Elections: It was decided to extend the call out for nominees and then run the election later for a week to vote. The above decision was implemented and the election process was concluded at 12h00 on 10 May 2021. We have received some votes from non-members, candidate members and two duplicate votes from Full members that were excluded in the voting count. The Election Results:   VICKI BAWCOMBE WESTERN CAPE 73.6% CATI WEINEK - GAUTENG 71.7% YOLANDA LINDEQUE-STRAUSS - GAUTENG 67.9% ANIL POLTON - KWA-ZULU NATAL 66.0% TSHENOLO MABALE - NORTH WEST 64.2% DANILE MOHLAMME - MPUMALANGA 60.4% EUBULUS TIMOTHY - KWA-ZULU NATAL 58.5% ADELLE GASCOYNE - EASTERN CAPE 56.6% JACQUES DU RAND - GAUTENG 50.9% COLLINS FISHA - LIMPOPO 43.4% The seven candidates with the highest votes were elected to the 2021/2022 WGSA Council.

Subsequent to the closing of the voting process, the elected council members met to elect amongst themselves council members to fulfil the various portfolios. The results were announced earlier today during the 2020 WGSA Muse Awards: Cati Weinek - Chairperson Tshenolo Mabale - Vice-chairperson Dr Eubulus Timothy - Treasurer The above council members will form the Exceutive Committee and take on Fiduciary Responsibilities Communications Portfolio - Anil Polton and Yolanda Lindeque-Strauss Professional Development Portfolio - Danile Mohlamme Membership Portfolio - Vicki Bawcombe Congratulations, and we wish you all the best for the year ahead.
