An industry discussion on Activism in the Live Performance Industry.

This coming Wednesday SAGA will be hosting a panel discussion about responsible and noteworthy activism within the live arts sector.
After a gruelling pandemic season of no work for those in the live arts, we need to see change to harness solidarity within the live performance sector of South Africa.
The Theatre and Dance Alliance (TADA), Sustaining Theatre and Dance (STAND) Foundation, Im4theArts / SAUCCIF and the Baxter’s Masambe Theatre will all be hosted by the South African Guild of Actors in this Panel discussion about industry change.
Our panel consists of industry professionals who have taken an active, organized stance for improving the working conditions of live performers. Sibongile Mngoma, Nwabisa Plaatjie, Mike van Graan and Ian Robinson will be representing South Africa’s leading organisations behind structured change in the live performance eco-system.

For any real change, there must be a unity of voices. With this discussion we hope that the industry can come together and realise the need to create change and shift the focus of our collective community for the future of our craft.
There has never been a better time to ACT for our future.

Join us on Wednesday 03 November 2021 from 16:00 – 18:00 and find out how you can be a part of these changes.
